This website was created by and for people who like to play in the sand. No, we're not talking about sandcastles or bikini-clad beauties or toddlers with pails and plastic shovels (okay, maybe some of those too). We're talking about two, three and four wheeled beasts that fly across the sand hauling grinning passengers; serious sand toys that thrive in the place we love the best, the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area (ISDRA), also known as Glamis Dunes, Algodones Dunes, Buttercup, and The Most Awesome Place to Play in the Sand in the World.
Oh, but DUNERS is about more than just having a good time.
Every year more and more go out to play in the sand and yet, piece by piece, our public lands are being closed off to motorized use. Check out this map of the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area:
DUNERS was founded by people who are tired of seeing our riding areas disappear before our eyes, and by people who are dedicated to fighting for the future of the dunes.
Our fight takes many forms, from attending meetings to staging support rallies to working closely with other OHV groups and community leaders, and much more.
